The quintessential Tuscany vineyard weddingThe Borghesi Estate & Vineyard, a historical (1667) farming estate occupying over 400 hectares, is among the truly Tuscan hills of Chianti Colli Senesi region in a tiny village called Scorgiano Monteriggioni. It is family run and devoted mainly to winegrowing.

Ceremonies
Legal civil ceremonies can take place at one of the 3 places below:- Town hall of Monteriggioni
Capacity: ONLY B&G and 2 witnesses with translator and wedding planners. Just 2 chairs are included. (this is 10 minutes away - about 7 kilometers) followed by an aperitif back at Borghesi. - Abbadia Isola (a medieval Abbey along the via Francigena)
Capacity: up to 80 guests with chairs - (this is 10 minutes - about 7 kilometers) - The Abbey of San Galgano (picturesque ruins of an ancient 13th century abbey)
Capacity: up 60 with chairs + a wood table for rings, bride's bouquet, etc. (this is about 30 minutes away - about 30 kilometers)
Blessings/Symbolic
Ceremonies without legal or civil restrictions, and therefore are performed by a Master of Ceremonies, rather than a clergyman or state official. The ceremony suits couples who have already had a civil or church ceremony, but is also perfect for those who wish to renew their wedding vows for an anniversary. Your blessing can be celebrated in various locations on the grounds.
- In the gardens overlooking the hills - the grounds can be used for spectacular outdoor ceremonies with views over the Tuscan hills.
Capacity: up to 100 chairs (white skirted chairs) - La Scuderia - in the event of bad weather, your ceremony can take place in the Scuderia room
Protestant ceremony
Without legal effects with English Speaking Minister (Church of England/CofE).
Note: This can take place at the Protestant Church in Siena or on the grounds of Estate Borghesi. In this case, you must do the legal civil wedding at the Town Hall prior to the religious ceremony. This can possibly be done in the morning of the same day as the religious ceremony or day(s) before. The church in Siena is a 45 min drive - about 40 kilometers.
Catholic weddings
Can take place in one of the churches in Abbadia Isola (this historical Borgo is part of commune di Monteriggioni). The churches are all a 10-minute drive - about 7 km away.
Jewish ceremonies can take place at the Estate
